An Elegant Texas Hill Country Love Story Planned from Afar

There’s something especially magical about planning a wedding for a couple who puts their full trust in you—especially when they book their venue without ever seeing it in person. Elsy and Juan did exactly that, and what unfolded was a breathtaking Fredericksburg Texas destination wedding at the Hoffman Haus, filled with international guests, heartfelt traditions, and a weekend-long celebration that no one will soon forget.
As a Fredericksburg wedding planner, this is the kind of weekend that reminds me exactly why I do what I do.
Planning a Destination Wedding from Another Country
From our very first consultation, Elsy shared how overwhelming wedding planning felt with their demanding work schedules and constant travel. When she learned that Wed in Fred offered full-service, ready-to-go wedding packages, she felt an immediate sense of relief. Everything they needed—design, timeline, vendor coordination, and logistics—could be handled seamlessly in one place.
And then came the biggest leap of faith of all:They booked Hoffman Haus sight unseen, trusting us completely to take their vision and bring it to life for their wedding weekend in the Texas Hill Country.
With 65 guests traveling internationally from Mexico City and Argentina, Elsy and Juan weren’t just planning a wedding—they were creating a full destination experience for their family and closest friends.
A Three-Day Celebration at Hoffman Haus
For the weekend, the couple reserved all 16 boutique guest rooms at Hoffman Haus, transforming the property into a private wedding retreat right in the heart of Fredericksburg. Guests stayed on site, enjoyed breakfast delivered to their rooms each morning, and spent the days exploring Main Street, local wineries, and the charming Hill Country pace of life.
This is one of the many reasons Hoffman Haus weddings are so special—everyone is fully immersed in the celebration from start to finish.
A Warm Welcome in the Texas Hill Country
The weekend officially began with a Welcome Cocktail Reception at the Hill Country Herb Garden, a lush, garden-filled setting that felt both relaxed and refined. It was the perfect place for guests meeting for the first time to connect, sip cocktails, and kick off the festivities under the Fredericksburg sky.
Laughter, hugs, and multiple languages filled the air—it was already clear that this weekend would be something extraordinary.
Wedding Day at Hoffman Haus
On the morning of the wedding, the energy shifted into that perfect mix of excitement and calm. The girls spent the morning getting ready in the charming Basse Haus, while the guys relaxed and suited up just steps away in the Conley House. With expert beauty services by Khalil & Co., Elsy’s bridal look was effortless, fresh, and timeless.
The ceremony unfolded in Hoffman Haus’s picturesque courtyard, surrounded by loved ones who had traveled across borders and continents to witness this moment.
Elegant, Modern Reception Design
Elsy and Juan’s reception design was the definition of understated elegance—clean, modern, and romantic without being overdone.
The design featured:
Soft white florals with bright greenery
Bud vases scattered across reception tables
Sage table runners for a gentle touch of color
Gold chargers, taper candles, and glowing votives
The result was a space that felt warm, intimate, and refined—perfectly suited for a spring celebration in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.
A Cultural Feast to Remember
Dinner was an experience in itself, thoughtfully crafted by Revel Catering and inspired by both Texas and Argentinian flavors. Guests enjoyed passed appetizers like chard and spinach buñuelos with smoked paprika aioli, wild mushroom arancini, and elk tenderloin crostini with pink peppercorn aioli.
Dinner featured smoked Texas meats paired with classic BBQ sides—including rich, gooey mac & cheese—bringing true Hill Country comfort to the table. For dessert, guests were treated to a bold and beautiful ancho chile tangerine flan with dulce de leche, a sweet nod to Latin flavor.
Behind the bar, Mixed & Muddled served premium cocktails using aged scotch and tequila personally provided by the groom, adding an extra layer of personal touch and celebration to the evening.
A Dance Floor That Never Slowed Down
With Toast Entertainment leading the night as the bilingual DJ, the dance floor stayed packed from the first song to the very last. One of the most unforgettable moments of the night came when Elsy and Juan were invited on stage to spin a few songs themselves—an electric, joy-filled moment that perfectly captured their personalities and the energy of the celebration.

A Relaxed Sunday Brunch Farewell
On Sunday morning, guests gathered one final time for brunch at Hoffman Haus, sharing stories from the weekend, lingering over coffee, and soaking up the last moments of a celebration that had brought together cultures, families, and lifelong friendships.
From My Heart as Their Wedding Planner
What made Elsy and Juan’s wedding especially meaningful to me wasn’t just the planning—it was the people. Many of their international guests had never been to Texas, and watching them fall in love with our food, our wine, our music, and our Hill Country hospitality was truly special.
On a personal note, I married a Mexican man myself, so being part of a bilingual, multicultural celebration felt close to my heart. This wedding reminded me that love transcends borders—and that destination weddings have the power to create once-in-a-lifetime connections.
A Note from Elsy & Juan
“Thank you Jennifer! What great organization and planning you had for our wedding! Thank you so much for every detail, last minute changes, flexibility, and the ability to help us with our bilingual wedding. It was very, very special to us!”
